Near Death Experiences

What are Near Death Experiences?
Near death experiences are usually reported by persons who come very close to death, or are in fact pronounced clinically dead, before they come back to life.

During the time in which they are out of their bodies, they may experience several things such as:

(1) The sense of being out of one's own physical body
(2) Travelling through a tunnel of light towards a loving being (God)
(3) A detailed life review.
(4) Meeting deceased friends and relatives.
(5) Being given the choice to remain or return back to their bodies, OR being told that it's not their time and that they must return back to their bodies.

While most near death experiences are peaceful and pleasant, some are frightening and hellish. Some persons experience travelling to a hell where they encounter demons and the possibility of being eternally lost in a place of torment. This is what happened to Howard Storm

Who has Near Death Experiences?
Many people have near death experiences as a result of being involved in an accident or as a result of suffering from a serious illness that has taken them to death's door.

The book "Life After Life" by Dr. Raymond Moody offers numerous accounts of persons who have had such experiences.

The website near-death.com is an excellent website with plenty of information about Near Death Experiences.

Are Near Death Experiences REAL or hallucinations of the mind?
Near Death Experiences have been known to affect people from many different cultures, religions, backgrounds and levels of education in the same manner. Therefore, Near Death Experiences cannot be attributed to certain beliefs that a person may have on what should happen at the point of death.

Also, many persons who have near death experiences will later report having seen or heard something that took place while they were "clinically dead", thus proving that they were not hallucinating, but in fact witnessing events that were taking place while being present in their spiritual form.

Furthermore, most persons who return to their bodies after experiencing a Near Death Experience are changed in the sense that they become more patient, loving and spiritual persons who appreciate and value life so much more.

A brain hallucination cannot change a person's life in such a deep and profound way.

What do Near Death Experiences prove?
"Near Death Experiences" prove that there is life after death, and that we don't just cease to exist after physical death.
